Our History

The farm was run from 1959 to 1994 as a dairy operation. The business was initially run by Andrew and Pearl Mlyniec. During a 10 year time period, the dairy operation was ran by John and Barb Mlyniec. Around 1992 Joe and Cathy Mlyniec obtained the farm and continued the dairy operation for a 2 year period. There was a brief period between 1994 and 2003 when the cattle and land were leased to a larger dairy neighbor. In 2003, Joe Mlyniec and Joe Carter stumbled upon the meat goat industry and were amazed at the demand for goat meat in the United States! We purchased our first boer buck, T.J., to breed with some dairy goats we had purchased at auction. After success with the does, we bought our first registered boer goats from Windsong Farms near Watkins Glen, NY. We made another large purchase of 20 more registered does from Goats From Cooperstown near Cooperstown, NY. We are now at 70+ breeding does! We are looking to get larger still.
